What We Believe

Core Beliefs

First of all, we believe in the Bible, the 66 books that make up the Old and New Testaments, and that it is the infallible, incorruptible and inerrant Word of God, written by men throughout the ages under the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

We believe in one eternal God, creator of the universe, who is God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit. Three distinct persons in perfect unity, power and equality, who make up the Godhead or Trinity.

We believe that God created man in His own image, as Adam and Eve, and that through disobedience and rebellion, Adam sinned and caused the fall of all of mankind into a state of sin and spiritual death, separated from God.

We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, second person of the Trinity, is eternal in existence, and is the Word of God become flesh, as is stated in the Gospel of John, Chapter 1. That He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.

We believe that Jesus is indeed fully God and fully human, that He lived His entire life on the earth without sin to become the substitutionary blood atonement (sacrifice) for all of man by suffering the agonizing and humiliating death on the cross.

We believe that Jesus was buried in a borrowed tomb, was in the grave for 3 days, and on the 3rd day He rose from death in His physical body glorified.

We believe that Jesus’ death on the cross provided the only means for man’s salvation, our reconciliation to God, and that each person must exercise their free will to make the choice to accept this finished work of Christ on the cross for eternal life or face eternal condemnation. We call this salvation by grace through faith.

We believe that one day soon, Jesus will come to receive The Church (all believers), both dead and alive, in an event called The Rapture.

We believe that this salvation, that has been provided for us through the blood of Jesus has freed us from the curses of sin, which were death (separation from God), sickness and poverty.

We believe that through this salvation, we have eternal life, health and prosperity promised.

We believe that God wants us to have the abundant life promised in John 10:10, and that He wants us to have it now.

We believe that divine healing, in our physical body, is for today and that the New Testament Church should walk in health as a testimony to the world of the power and promises of God.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the 3rd person of the Trinity, actively empowering and enabling all believers through the baptism in the Holy Spirit, with evidence of speaking in tongues.

We believe in the Holy Spirit gifting the church with ministry and power gifts to carry on the work of the Kingdom of God here on earth and that all believers should desire and operate in these gifts in order to fulfill their calling and purpose.

We believe that God still has a plan for Israel, the Jewish people, that they are still “the apple of His eye”, and that the Christian Church should actively stand with and support Israel against her enemies.

Finally, we believe that God is faithful and will fulfill His promises to all who endure to the end, and that we at Arena of Life Church, have a command from Jesus Himself to preach and teach the good news to all the world.
